GPM History

The history of Mazowsze Grand Prix goes back to 1980, when five-stage foot orienteering competition called “Warsaw Grand Prix”, initiated by Tadeusz Patejko took place in Mazowsze.

In 1999 Warsaw Grand Prix was replaced by Mazowsze Grand Prix (GPM) which then took place each year until 2016, when a multi-stage competition Warszawska Mila took place in Mazowsze. This year, the GPM cycle is continued and performed as it was in the beginning. Everyone is encouraged to capture Modlin fortress and finish the first ever hundred control points (100 CP run) race in Poland.

While going forward one should use the experience already gained, so let’s take a look at the GPM history.
